Matthew Kwasiborski joined The Fund for American Studies in February of 2005 and has directed The American Institute on Political and Economic Systems (AIPES) since that time. In this position, Matt has worked with well over a thousand students, alumni, faculty and staff representing more than 50 countries. He previously served as the IIPES and EJI director from 2005–2012. TFAS and The Media Project revitalized EJI in 2017 in which Matt was the director of that program
Matt has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Anglo-American University in Prague since 2016. Matt also serves on the board of directors for the International Association of Free Ukraine, in Kyiv, Ukraine. He also founded the leadership organization, Advancing International Leaders Towards Excellence, or AILTE. Through TFAS, AILTE and Free Ukraine, Matt established the Lviv Leadership Academy in August 2016. AILTE specializes is designing and delivering a leadership course for higher education students, NGOs and businesses called “Advancing Leadership and Cultures in the 21st Century.” This course focuses on the history of leadership and the various leadership styles, concentrating on emotional leadership and servant leadership. Previously, Matt served as the vice president and treasurer of the Board of Advisors for the Center of International Media Ethics (CIME).
